  • Publishing and promoting books on Texas Jewish history. Supporting selected films and videos that advance the TJHS mission.
  • Maintaining on its website a searchable online database of over 40,000 Jewish burials in Texas cemeteries. Requesting and receiving approvals for State of Texas historical markers in Jewish cemeteries.
  • Sponsoring prizes for winners of the Texas State Historical Association’s Jewish History Essay Contest.
  • Providing opportunities to retrace the experiences of Jews in Texas towns where there is no longer a Jewish presence.


  • Invitations to participate in quarterly Board Meetings and Annual Gatherings convened in towns and cities throughout Texas.
  • Opportunities to preserve, research, and publish your own family histories.
  • History-rich tours to US and international locations.
